Invitation for entries in the 19th annual juried Regional Art Exhibit 2007. This year's art show will be juried and judged by Thelma Rohrer from the Manchester College Art Department.
GENERAL EXHIBITION INFORMATION
Eligibility
The competition is open to artists in all media. Each entry must be the original concept and work of the artist, completed within the last two (2) years and not previously shown in the Heartland Artists Regional Art Exhibit. No "copy" or classroom/workshop work will be allowed. If the artwork is based on a photograph, they must be the artist's own, or used with the permission of the photographer. Final determination of what constitutes eligible work will rest with the juror.
Entry Specifications
- Work must be framed, wired, etc. and ready for presentation (no sawtooth hangers).
- Work on paper must be framed and under glass or plexiglass.
- Sculpture may not exceed 50 pounds, or 4 feet largest dimension, unless special arrangements are made with committee.
- Work submitted without compliance to guidelines will be rejected and entry fees forfeited.
- Hearland Artists has the right to reject any work due to inappropriate framing, presentation or subject matter.
- All reasonable precautions will be taken to safeguard entries. However, Heartland Artists cannot assume responsiblility for damage or loss of artwork submitted.
- All work is accepted subject to this understanding. Entering this exhibit constitutes agreement to all terms and conditions.
Entry Procedure & Fees
There is no limit on number of entries.However, please limit NFS entries to one. An $9.00 non-refundable fee per entry is required. Checks or money orders should be made payable to "Heartland Artists" and mailed to Heartland Artists, P.O. Box 714, Plymouth, IN 46563. Entries must be postmarked no later than Saturday, September 22, 2007. Entering grants permission to post winners on website.
Sale of Work
Unless otherwise indicated by the artist, all work is for sale. There is a limit of one piece that can be marked as 'NFS.' A commission of 30% on work sold is payable to the Heartland Artists.

Receiving of Work
Art work must be hand delivered (no slides) to: Heartland Artists Gallery, 203 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN. Work will be accepted Sunday, September 30, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, October 1, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Art work accepted for jurying does not guarantee acceptance in the final exhibit. Entry blanks may be photocopied or hand copied.
Return of Entries
Works not accepted may be picked up during reception and show hours. (See calendar dates and time of exhibit.) FINAL PICK UP DATE FOR ALL WORK is Sunday, October 28 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Please show your Jury Notification card to pick up your work, or make prior arrangements. Heartland Artists cannot be responsible for any work left after the scheduled pick up time! Unclaimed art work becomes the property of Heartland Artists after 14 days, and will be auctioned with proceeds going to the high school art awards program.
Due to lack of space and our November displays, we strongly urge artists to collect their artwork on date specified or incur penalty fees of $5 per business day. If you know you cannot pick up work on that day, please arrange with someone to do it for you.
